Purchasing and Return Policy

By purchasing any artworks from Duarte Perry Studio’s website (www.duarteperry.com), you agree to the following terms and conditions outlined in this document. Please read carefully before making any purchase.

1. General Information

This Purchasing and Return Policy applies to all purchases made through Duarte Perry Studio's website (www.duarteperry.com), or directly from the artist. These terms apply to all clients, including international purchases.

2. Purchasing Artworks

By purchasing any artworks from Duarte Perry Studio, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into binding agreements and that you agree to abide by the terms outlined in this policy. The artwork is only sold upon full payment, including all associated fees such as shipping, handling, and taxes.

3. Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • PayPal

  • Bank Transfer (Swiss Francs – CHF or alternative currencies via Wise, subject to prior email agreement to studio@duarteperry.com)

4. Invoice

Once the artwork has been purchased, an invoice will be sent to the buyer via email.

5. Shipping and Handling

Duarte Perry Studio ships artworks worldwide using trusted, certified shipping partners such as Post, DHL, GLS, and DPD. The choice of shipping partner depends on the size of the artwork and the destination country. The buyer is responsible for providing accurate shipping information. Once the artwork is shipped, a tracking number will be provided to the buyer for monitoring the shipment. Duarte Perry Studio is not responsible for any delays caused by the shipping service or customs processes.

6. Delivery Time

Shipping times may vary depending on the destination country and size of the artwork. Typically, delivery times range between 5-14 business days, but international shipping may take longer. Duarte Perry Studio is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping service or customs processes.

7. Return and Refund Policy

As all artworks sold are unique (paintings, sculptures, photographs, and other), no returns or refunds will be accepted unless the artwork is damaged during shipping. All returns must be accompanied by the original packaging.

Damaged Artworks

In the unlikely event that an artwork arrives damaged, you must notify Duarte Perry Studio within 48 hours of receiving the artwork by email to studio@duarteperry.com. A full photographic and video documentation of the damage, as well as of the original packaging, must be submitted to initiate a claim.

If the damage is confirmed, Duarte Perry Studio will arrange for a full refund or a replacement, depending on the buyer's preference, as long as the artwork and packaging are in the condition specified.

Customer Damaged Artworks

If the artwork is damaged by the customer after receiving it, Duarte Perry Studio will not issue a refund. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the artwork is properly handled and stored after delivery. Any damage caused by improper handling, accidental damage, or misuse will not be eligible for a refund or replacement.

To ensure clarity:

  • The customer must inspect the artwork upon delivery and take photographs of its condition in the packaging and after unboxing.

  • If the customer claims damage after delivery, they must provide photographic evidence showing the damage and the circumstances of how the damage occurred.

  • Duarte Perry Studio reserves the right to reject claims if the damage appears to have resulted from improper care or handling by the customer.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund yet, first check your bank account again. If you’ve done this and still haven’t received your refund, please contact us.

Note: Refunds will only be processed if the original packaging is returned with the artwork. Without original packaging, no refund will be issued.

8. Certificate of Authenticity

All artworks come with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by the artist and issued by the artist's studio. This document verifies the originality of the artwork and its unique status.

9. Artwork Images and Copyright

The images of the artworks displayed on the website must be credited to the artist, Duarte Perry, and cannot be used, reproduced, or sold without prior written consent from Duarte Perry Studio.

10. Resale and Transfer of Ownership

If the artwork is resold to a third party, the buyer must inform the artist’s studio via email at studio@duarteperry.com. This allows the artist to maintain proper records of ownership and provenance.

11. No Discounts

Duarte Perry Studio does not offer any discounts on the artworks under any circumstances. Prices are final as listed on the website at the time of purchase.

12. Insurance

All artworks shipped from Duarte Perry Studio are insured during transit. The insurance covers damages during shipping, and Duarte Perry Studio will handle the claims process.

13. Currency

All transactions are processed in Swiss Francs (CHF). For international clients, payments can also be arranged in alternative currencies through Wise, upon prior agreement via email.

14. No Minor Compensation

We do not provide compensation for minor damages or defects. Only significant damages verified with photographic evidence and original packaging will be considered for a return or refund.

15. Jurisdiction

By purchasing artworks from Duarte Perry Studio, you agree that any legal action or disputes arising from this agreement will be handled exclusively in the jurisdiction of Switzerland, specifically in the courts of Zurich.

16. Final Terms

These terms and conditions represent the full agreement between the buyer and Duarte Perry Studio. Any modifications, changes, or special arrangements must be made in writing and approved by both parties.
